Yaz was such a great defensive left fielder and not just in Fenway park .
You left out Jackie Robinson!

I always enjoyed Roberto Avila, or, Cleveland Indians second sacker, Bobby Avila 1957. Great gloveman, dependable stick, outstanding on the bases. A real pleasure to watch. Underrated, big time. Also appreciated Robert Alomar Jr.
I love satchel Paige. There's no doubt he's a top 10. Bob feller, hello, Bob feller is the number one guy if that's on your list. Bob feller
Bench, Berra, Cochrane, Pudge, Campy, Dickey,Carter,Hartnett,Molina,Simmons
Those are all big names. Like the Mt Rushmore.
Is it true that left-handed pitchers are named after Lefty Grove? Before Lefty, left-handed pitchers were called southpaws.
I am a Yankees fan, and there is no way Sandy Koufax is not on anyone's top 10 list in pitching. Longevity is a factor, but Koufax must be in the list.
Really good list. I would have Frankie Frisch, in ahead of Cano. I think Nelie Fox is also very borderline, but that is nitpicking a little!!
All of these shortstops had great second baseman. Makes a huge difference. Trammel with Whitaker. Aparicio with Fox
You lose ALL credibility by leaving Bob Feller off this list. First ballot HOF'er, 3 no no's, set single season strike out record and was a beast of a workhorse. Regularly lead the league in innings pitched with over 300+ ... and often had more complete games than wins (but won 24-27 games regularly).
@@jim72068 All of it?
Ted Simmons was the greatest cardinal catcher ever look at his stats!!
Your forgetting a southpaw Hall of Famer with over 300 wins and has the second most strikeouts and second most wins by a lefthander . He also won the Cy Young award four times and a World Series. You haven’t guessed it yet ? The great STEVE CARLTON . In 1972 he won half of the Phillies games with 27 wins , he also was the last National League pitcher to win 25 games and throw 300 innings. He had a very good fastball and a great slider along with one of the best pickoff moves in baseball, he also accumulated the most balks . You like apples ? Well how you like them apples ?
@jaytaft1449…I think you left out the all time hits leader and seventeen time All Star , he also won three batting titles and knocked Ray Fosse into the Twilight zone in an all star game , Pete Rose. Don’t hold it against him for gambling , he was a great hustler on the field and ran out every ground ball . Won a World Series for the Phillies, without him I doubt whether they would have won.

Willie would have had more homers if he wasn’t playing at Candlestick Park, a notoriously difficult place to hit it out of.
Why is the greatest defensive first baseman in the game not on this list? No love for Keith?
Cap Anson was the first 3000 hit player
AL Kaline was one of roughly thirty major league ball players who NEVER, EVER, EVER played a single game in the Minor League. There were seasons where he led the AL in RF assists despite having fewer attempted throws than other right fielders because the smarter ball players were tired of getting thrown out attempting to go from first to third on a ball hit to him. They would, however, run on other right fielders.
Get serious Babe Ruth #1 He may have been a Rabelaisian fat man, but he was the best. No question Hammering Hank, whom I saw first at 8 years old in the "57 series, #2.
@@trajan75 ruclips.net/video/pHT5RPOKmqU/видео.htmlsi=BpiQiSVljMiaIz1v
Good list. All are worthy of consideration, but can't overlook Bob Feller. He lost 4 prime years serving his country in WW2, otherwise he probably would have won 350 games Don't want to say whom he should replace, but I can think of 5 pitchers on your list whom he should outrank.
Clete Boyer for honorable mention
Babe Ruth, east call! Pete Rose would be my #2.
Ken Griffey #7? Son, you OBVIOUSLY Never Saw Him Play.🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you give Bonds credit for his statistics he must be #1. Personally I would leave Bonds off all greatest list for obvious reasons.
What about Gil Hodges?
Over an entire career: 1. Joe DiMaggio 2. Willie Mays 3. Ty Cobb 4. Mickey Mantle 5. Tris Speaker At their peak best: 1. Mickey Mantle 2. Willie Mays 3. Joe DiMaggio 4. Ken Griffey Jr. 5. Ty Cobb
How 'bout top 10 utility players?
Welcome back.
Jeff Bagwell is miles better than Vizquel ever was
Andrew Jones of the 90s and 2000s Atlanta Braves made some of the most unbelievable catches ever!
Wheres Altuve
@@skysharp9564 I forgot to buzz him.
garvey?
You forgot about Boog Powell! Just joking.
Before I watch... Number 1... Brooks Robinson.
Defensively; yes. All around; no.
Since the criteria is best in the position, then I think its Brooks Robinson at #1. I suppose it depends whether you believe home runs, batting average or fielding make you the best at 3rd base.
The only player with 11 all star games not in the Hall of Fame…Bill Freehan
What about Gary Maddox, Fred Lynn
Chicago guy
you forgot babe ruth

Brooks Robinson also won AL MVP 1964.
I agree with Clemente. I used to drive 350 miles to Pittsburgh to watch him play. Unbelievable.
Reggie Jackson does NOT belong on this list. He was an average fielder at best. The only game he had was homerun power (563) but that was nullified by his strikeouts (2,500+). And Kaline being only 10th? Are you kidding me?! 10 gold gloves and a rifle for an arm that no one would run on without paying the price! Add in all his amazing stats in spite of an injury-plagued career and he's in the top 5 at least. jmo.
Babe Ruth best ever and what about hank Greenberg
Larry Doby, Kenny Lofton honourable mentions. Andre Dawson played more in RF, but is listed on some CF lists as he played more than 1,000 games there. While not top ten, Devon White top 5 in dWAR, his signature catch the World Series triple play that wasn’t called. The only issue for me is I have Tris Speaker ahead of Mantle. WAR7 is about the same, slightly favouring Mantle, WAR/162 slightly favouring Speaker. But 24 more career WAR for Speaker hard to overlook.
Alex Rodriguez should probably be on this list. He played 12 years at 3rd and hit 54 Home Runs in a season as a 3rd baseman.
Morgan number 1. end of argument.
